Metal rod connected to car battery starts to melt

I took jumper cables and hooked them up to a car battery. hen I took a circuit tester rod and connected it to one alligator clip. Conversely, I hooked the other clip to a saw and began to touch the rod. A whole crap load of sparks flew from it and all contact points (on the saw as well, as you can see) started to glow. A few seconds after the video ends, the rod melts and falls onto the cement floor. [ voir sur Youtube.com ]
