2 Alpine Type-R 12in Subs in Custom Boxes
Leave Comments!My video cam that I used for this is sort of crappy and the bass makes a funny sound on the video but you can still tell that its really loud. This is my system in my 1994 Corolla it consists of a Alpine 9856 Head Unit, 1200watt Hifonics amp, and 2 12in type-r subs in custom ported boxes. At volume 17 I used a db meter and it maxed it out at 126db so i would like to get a better one and measure how loud it gets. [

here's another one of my favorite channel switching amps. sorry about the camera clipping/distortion---hard to hear the headphones in the room w/ amp cranked, and older camera audio meters didn't track peaks very well! but you get the picture.... [

cigar box amp FK617 kit
built using Qkits fk617 amplifier for teacher mono 15watt. Speaker is 20watt rms Jensen car speaker. This is my first actual electronics component build. Also added the VU meter from Qkits. http://store.qkits.com/
The brand is actually Future Kits. All in all a great first experience with PC board soldering and wiring. [
