New Terrain Park at Snowmass
What's better than Halo for Christmas? A newly opened terrain park at Snowmass Mountain in Colorado. There is not a better way to celebrate the Holiday Season than hit up the park on Snowmass. Snowmass stepped it up this year and re-vamped their entire terrain park and feature layout. Check out Vital Films along with skiers Andrew Wickes, Sam Ferguson, Charlie Lasser, Paul Stover and Matt Terrell, messing around at Snowmass.

New Terrain Engine in Flight Simulator Project
This is a video of the new terrain engine in Flight Simulator Project. It has dynamic updating of the tiles with add/update/remove of tiles based on current camera position. The update is done in a separated thread to avoid stutters.
The "flight" goes from Modesto to the South Bay to SFO Airport, San Francisco, Mount Diablo, Moffet, San Jose, and Palo Alto Airport.
The terrain usually updates faster, but having Fraps running at the same time was slowing things down a bit. [

Terrain Editor (part 3) - Spikes
This is a little spike creator i made for the editor. It was the first initial complete terrain editing i succesfully made that now have expanded to beuityfull rounded hills. (Note that this movie is a combination of the Object Manager's "Remove Everything" and the terrain editor.. and that is why there is no m2 files on some of the nearby adt's.)

This would be the terrain editor. I just wanted to point out how easy it is to quickly sketch out a terrain. It's far harder to get a "refined" terrain of course, but the tools themselves are rather easy. The height-map would be the hardest part. [
