Roman Villa of the Casale, Piazza Armerina, Sicily
The Roman Villa in Piazza Armerina has the best preserved Roman floor tiles (mosaics) in the world. There are 63 rooms, 42 of which have extensively designed floor tiles. Most of the villa is under cover and you can't, for obvious reasons, walk on the tile floors. They have an extensive network of connecting walkways for us tourists. If you are facinated by floor tiles, this is the place to visit in Sicily. [
